how to install mods

OBJECTS

custom objects have the file type .IFF or .FAR.

these files should go in one of the following locations:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\The Sims\Downloads
OR
C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\The Sims\GameData\Objects

SKINS

custom heads and bodies have the file type .SKN, .BMP, or .CMX.

these files should go in the following location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\The Sims\GameData\Skins

WALLS

custom walls have the file type .WLL.

these files should go in the following location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\The Sims\GameData\Walls

FLOORS

custom floors have the file type .FLR.

these files should go in the following location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\The Sims\GameData\Floors
